An Exclusive Interview with Salah-ddine Krit from the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Ouarzazate, Ibn Zohr University in Agadir, Morroco

"I am open-minded person. I get inspired and respect scientists in the world, whether famous or not, who works in favour of humanity and seek to enlighten its living."

Introduction
I am Salah-ddine Krit I received the B.S. and Ph.D degrees in Software Engineering from Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morroco in 2004 and 2009 respectively. During 2002-2008, I worked as an engineer Team leader in audio and power management of Integrated Circuits (ICs) Research, Design, simulation and layout of analog and digital blocks dedicated for mobile phone and satellite communication systems using Cadence, Eldo, Orcad, VHDL-AMS technology. Currently I am a Professor of Informatics with the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Ouarzazate, Ibn Zohr university in Agadir, Morroco. My research interests includes Wireless Sensor Networks (Software and Hardware), Computer Engineering, Wireless Communications, Genetic Algorithms and Gender and ICT.

How did you gain interest in Aspect-Oriented Requirements Engineering?
During my experience in the domain of hardware and software engineering with various companies, and after the realization of many projects design, simulation and layout which touch the power management like LDOs, DCDC buck Boost converters, and the Audio Amplifiers dedicated to mobile systems like moble phone, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) using different technologies of BiCMOS, 0, 35um, 0,25um, 0,18um, I decided to continue my research in this interesting area.

How do you approach research? How long does it take to complete a paper?
In the first step I start to define the subject of my ideas and after listing all the advantages of the new ideas comparing the results and the technologies with other previous results proposed in the literature and also compare that with already existing solutions in literature. In general the time to complete a research paper depends on the complexity of the problem and my availability. But, it takes between 6 months and one year to complete one paper or more.

What did you investigate in your last publication?
My last publication is entitled "Design Methodology of Energy Consumption for Wireless Sensor Networks using Energy Renewable". In the paper we investigated the advantage of the use Energy Renewable and the paper proposes a new design architecture and implementations of power management dc-dc buck-boost converter targeted for optimization of consumption of wireless sensor network applications. Key issues in WSNs are discussed. We operated real applications on the WSNs, The proposed system can operate at 2.4 GHz and dissipates a power of 15 and 25 uW, respectively, from a 2.5 V supply. The noise performance at input, output and the frequency response is presented.

What topics have you been teaching until now at the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Ouarzazate, Ibn Zohr University?
Currently, I am teaching the algorithmic and programming languages and implementation like Programming in C/C++, PHP, HTML and JAVA.

What was your most successful moment?
My most successful moment is when I get new ideas to resolve a new or an old problem.

What would be your recommendation(s) and advise to young researchers who would want to pursue research in Aspect-Oriented Requirements Engineering?
I recommend young researchers who would like to pursue research in Aspect-Oriented Requirements Engineering to be patient and motivated. I consider that failure is the first step towards success. In every research topic in the field of Aspect-Oriented Requirements Engineering, there are many technical problems already resolved and others that need to be ameliorated and optimized for the profit of the functionality of the systems and the technologies.

What are the current research projects you are working on?
Currently, I am working with some colleagues and students on different projects of software and hardware engineering. We try to develop a new architecture using some new techniques to optimize the functionality and the power consumption. We are in the phase of the simulations and the test of the architectures design.

Were you inspired by a famous scientist or engineer?
I am open-minded person. I get inspired and respect scientists in the world, whether famous or not, who works in favour of humanity and seek to enlighten its living.

What is your feeling about open-access publication? Do you recommend it?
Yes, I recommend open-access publication because of its many advantages. These journals facilitate access, a wide exchange of ideas and a fast publication of academic works.

Hobbies?
I like travelling and discovering new places, people, cultures and food.
