Esmat M.Abdelmoniem, Sherif A. Mazen and Ehab E. Hassanein

Some of IS development projects have a bad reputation for going over budget and schedule, not realizing expectations and so providing poor return on investment. This research is designed to identify the main causes for IS development project failure at Post-construction phase, the technical and final post-construction activity, and applying it to the Framework for Governance of Post-Construction activities in IS development Projects in Egypt. Interviews with Project Managers and stakeholders during deployment phase were conducted. Data gathered from interviews were analyzed and corroborated with previous surveys and case studies on IS development projects failure and projects success at implementation phase. A framework are developed and tested for governance of successful IS development projects implementation, by governance of Post-Construction activities in IS development Projects.
